Cloud In General
Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software and information are provided to computers and other devices on-demand, like a public utility.
Cloud computing describes a new supplement, consumption and delivery model for IT services based on the Internet, and it typically involves the provision of dynamically scalable and virtualized resources as a service over the Internet.
Tenue has a large number of powerful servers forming a cluster, from which we provide resources to our customers. Each of these virtual servers running in the cloud can be given any number of processors and amount of memory. Disk space is provisioned from an enterprise-level high performance storage system. Invoicing is based on these assigned resources.
Each virtual server running in the cloud is guaranteed a certain amount of cpu time, which can be increased at any given time. More memory and storage space can be added in a matter of minutes.
Cloud servers are fully isolated and for example each can be given an own IP-network.
Tenue Cloud is fully redundant and should any servers' hardware fail at any given time it has low or no effect to the running virtual servers.
